It was a very difficult decision, but due to insufficient funding and the loss of our lead teacher just weeks before the start of the new school year, we decided not to open for the 2010-2011 school year.
We are using this year to seek additional funding. We are writing grants and appealing to local businesses. If you are in a position to support our efforts, it would be greatly appreciated. A look below at some of our students from last year will help you to see why a school such as Beacon Prep Christian is so needed in our community.

Do you have fond memories of your school days? We certainly hope so. Unfortunately, for many children, school becomes a place where they learn to hate learning. A typical school day is stressful and leaves them feeling as though they are so much less than they really are.
That doesn't have to be. It SHOULD NOT be. There is a better way. And, with your help, it will no longer be.
Thanks to a generous grant from Entergy Corporation, we are one step closer to providing another year of personalized academics in a Christian environment for some very special kids. With your help, we can make it happen.
