Beacon Prep is, first and foremost, a Christian school dedicated to academic excellence for
Pre-K through 12th grade children of all abilities.
Whether your child struggles in school or breezes through year after year, our individualized curriculum, attention to personal and spiritual growth, and determination to help each child recognize their strengths while guiding them beyond their challenges, will encourage each child to reach for his or her personal best.
By keeping class sizes small, children will have their individual needs met while learning from each other through shared experiences.
At Beacon Prep, we feel our students and parents are a part of our family. By working together we will bring up young men and women of Godly character. We will create lifelong learners who carry their experiences into adulthood, confident that they can make a difference.

- Small class sizes enhance our hands-on curriculum and outdoor classtime is used for environmental education as well as reinforcing science, math, english and reading skills.
- An on-site therapy program including occupational, music, movement, equine therapy, and DIR/FloorTime has begun thanks to many wonderful local therapists.
- A child development/treatment center, headed by Dr. Frank Lawlis, is being planned. The center will offer non-drug therapies for our students with learning and developmental differences, and will educate parents as well as students. The treatment center will also be open to the public, and is sure to attract families from across Louisiana as well as surrounding states.
- Beacon’s motto is "It's Not About Me." By example, we will show students the importance of community involvement and “doing unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
- A Christian worldview, community service, healthy lifestyles, environmental awareness, and a strong work-ethic will be reflected each day at Beacon.
- Accountability will be demanded at every level, from the students all the way to the Board of Directors.
We believe that Beacon Prep will open a door for all children. Beacon will open the door to a place of endless possibilities and discovery, a place they look to with anticipation, a place where they feel accepted, loved, and secure, and a place where they know they are special, if for no other reason, simply because they are each one of God’s unique creations.
